Keeping clear of a sequence of lows.
A crew was crossing the Atlantic while several low-pressure systems moved through the area one after another. Other yachts reported gusts around 40 knots and the first damage.
WetterWelt recommended a more southerly route early enough to maintain a safe distance from the centres of the lows, with room to divert further if necessary. Instead of encountering the most severe conditions, the crew experienced a manageable force six from astern.

This creates more lead time for operational planning, closures or protecting vulnerable infrastructure. The relevant data and warning thresholds are configured for each individual application.
