WetterWelt is a meteorological company based in Kiel, Germany. Since 1999, we have advised sailors, shipping companies, media organisations, public authorities and businesses whenever weather plays a practical role in their decisions.
Our team combines meteorological experience with software developed in-house. We support voyages, prepare forecasts for specific locations, develop weather warning systems and help media organisations explain weather situations clearly.

Our team brings together meteorological experience, software development and service. Here are three people who have shaped WetterWelt and hold responsibility today.
Dr Meeno Schrader
Founder and meteorologist
Dr Meeno Schrader founded WetterWelt in 1999 and shaped the company for more than 25 years. In 2025, he handed over the management of the company to Philipp Müggenburg.
Philipp Müggenburg
CEO
Philipp Müggenburg is Managing Director of WetterWelt. He is responsible for developing the company further, combining commercial experience with a clear focus on clients, the team and new products.
Sebastian Wache
TV meteorologist
Sebastian Wache is a meteorologist and presents the weather for German broadcaster NDR. As an experienced sailor, he supports clients on ocean passages with precise forecasts and professional weather routing.
